LARGE FORMAT PRINTING HAS ARRIVED!

Our new Stacker 2S large format FDM printer is up and running and ready for your large format project. With a print size of 375mm x 410mm x 625mm it can handle your largest print requirements. And with the independent print head feature, we can print extremely complex parts by using the second head for a PVA water-soluble support material. Your FDM print will have super clean overhang areas with no drooping. We can also print full assemblies (With a minimum 350um gap for all moving parts) allowing you to print plastic bearings in a race if you so desired. Give us a call to find out how we can help you achieve your large format 3D printing goals.

We can also take zBrush sculpts or any other mesh based file and convert it to a production standard solid model. Consider us your one-stop-shop for any kind of manufactured item – from a toy to an aerospace part. We also provide full consulting services for product design and manufacturing.

If for some crazy reason we can’t print your files, we will refer you to someone local that can help. That’s how sure we are of our superior customer service. Give us a call today.

The Basics

1) We only accept the following file formats: .stl, .obj, .stp, .igs. If you don't have one of those file formats, then you will need to either convert whatever modeling program format you have to one of those, or hire someone to do it. Our preferred format is .stl.

2) You need to create your model in a solid modeling software package. ProE and Solidworks, or any Autodesk program will do the trick. Files created using freeware like Sketchup and Rhino are generally unacceptable. They must be converted using specialized software and are prone to print failure. Higher end software like Max or Maya can be used, but only if all parts are boolean joined together and the model is properly triangulated.

3) 3D printing processes we offer:

SLA is a high end finish that looks like it has been manufactured. It is printed from a bed of resin. It is semi-fragile, but you can use it to cast a mold for multiple pieces. It has the highest surface quality and can be painted easily.

FDM is a filament based system that is extruded from a nozzle. These parts are typically used when strength and durability are of primary concern.

Polyjet printing is a thin coat of powdered material that is sprayed with layers of adhesive then solidified with UV light. It offers the greatest size and an incredibly detailed finish, not to mention near perfect accuracy with no warping or shrinking. They are not very durable, but can be cast like SLA for subsequent moldings.

4) You cannot print from .jpg, .pdf or any other non CAD file. We can take your sketches or measured drawings and produce the CAD files required for both printing and manufacturing. Please call us to discuss pricing and availability.
